Relaxation in age limit and reservation for SC/ST/OBC and Ex-Serviceman available as per extant Government orders. Reservation of vacancies is also available State-wise, for Border Districts and areas affected by militancy and maoist movement.
It has been decided by the Commission to set question papers tri-lingually in Hindi, English and any one of the Regional Languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri in Urdu Scrip, Malyalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi (Gurumukhi), Tamil, Telgu, Urdu) and the language each as suggested by the State Governments of Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Meghalaya to the extent technically feasible. Provision in Para 8 (III) of the Notice stands modified upto that extent. A number of candidates who have completed Part I Registration of Online applications have not been able to complete Part II Registration on the website http://ssconline.nic.in. In order to enable such candidates to complete Part II Registration, Part II Registration will be available on both the websites www.sscregistration.sifyitest.com and www.ssconline.nic.inupto 5.00 P.M. on 07.01.2012. Part I Registration of Online application will, however, be available upto 5.00 P.M. on 02.01.2012 only. Consequently, the closing date for receipt of offline applications is also extended upto 07.01.2012 upto 5.00 P.M. Candidates desirous of filling online applications are advised to utilize both the websites provided for the purpose.
